Many people ask what the difference is between a Tethered and Socket EV charger.

A Tethered EV charger means that the charging cable is attached to the EV charger and cannot be removed, these come with various cable lengths. They also come with holsters which can be installed if requested. Alternativley you can choose to have the cable wrapped around the EV charger as shown with this clients installation.

Socket EV chargers have no charging cable, clients who purchase these EV chargers usually already have an EV charging cable. Before installation and or purchase you would just need to check that your charging cable is compatible with the socket.

With a compatible Solar PV installation and EV charger you can use the excess solar generated to charge your electric vehicle.
