Case Study: Billesdon Lodge Farm, Leicestershire

Job Description:

Billesdon Lodge Farm is a well-known equestrian centre. Seeing a chance to boost their green credentials, they contacted Powerpac in July 2011. After carrying out a full survey of the site in Leicestershire, we proposed they install a PV systems on a stable barn over a corrugated cement fiber roofing sheets. The system size of 24.5 kWp and is made up of 110 x Suntech 245w panels, which have the Ammonia and Salt accreditation that can be used for life stock.

We estimated that the system would produce 20,463kWh per year, saving the farm over £1,400 in electricity costs and generating almost £8,000 a year from the feed-in tariff. This sizable return on investment means the system will have paid for itself in just six to seven years.
